Hyde Park Restoration

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

This flat is located in a 3-story masonry building, built in 1918. Located in Chicago’s historic Hyde Park neighborhood, this particular building was developed by the renown Paul Cornell.

This project involves the complete restoration of a sprawling 2,220SF condominium residence including the restoration of the original wood mouldings, including an intricate fireplace mantel and solid oak doors. Restoration of original oak flooring will be refinished to boast its original glory. The plaster walls will be repaired and restored in preparation for a luxury finish application. Existing radiators will be refurbished, sandblasted, powder coated, and brought back to life.

Our scope also includes the gut renovation and modification of interior layouts for the rear wing of the residence which will accommodate office space, a bedroom, and a luxury kitchen.

The goal of this project is to restore the historical integrity of the space while preparing the function of the unit for another century of use.
